This was supposed to be for PETA's campaign against the Oregon Health and Science University and the Oregon State University's killing of homosexual sheep to dissect their brains in an attempt to find the hormone behind homosexual tendencies and cure them. But there seems to have been some confusion. A researcher at OHSU wrote "The study that PETA urged you to write me about is indeed based in sheep. However, it is not being done to "cure homosexuality"."

Here is what a member of PETA says:

OHSU and OSU are making false claims about how the sheep are treated in these experiments. In addition to being forced to endure invasive surgical procedures only to be killed later and have their brains cut open, the gay sheep are kept in solitary confinement for two to three days. Then, in “sexual preference tests,” two male and two female sheep who are physically restrained in a four-way stanchion—which is essentially a “rape rack”—are subjected to the sheep’s aggressions. Also, if it’s true that the sheep are well cared for, as the universities claim, why do OSU pranksters continue to be able to cart off the animals on drunken joyrides every year, according to news reports.?
